    High Wear Resistance
    Among all engineering plastics, UHMW-PE exhibits exceptional wear resistance. The higher the molecular weight, the better the wear resistance, far surpassing many metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and bronze. For example, UHMW-PE pipes and pumps used under conditions of strong corrosion and high wear can last 4–6 times longer than steel or stainless steel counterparts, while also improving conveying efficiency by 20%. This highlights its advantages of being energy-saving, environmentally friendly, economical, and efficient.

    1. 優れた耐腐食性
      UHMW-PE is highly resistant to corrosion in alkaline environments. It can be used in concentrated hydrochloric acid at 80°C, and remains stable in 75% sulfuric acid and 20% nitric acid. It also performs well in seawater and with liquid detergents.
    2. Extremely Low Coefficient of Friction
      With a static friction coefficient of 0.07, UHMW-PE has excellent self-lubricating properties, making it an ideal material for bearings, bushings, sliders, and linings. Using UHMW-PE for friction components not only enhances wear life but also improves energy efficiency.
    3. Outstanding Impact Resistance
      UHMW-PE has the best impact resistance among plastics. Whether subjected to strong external impact or internal pressure fluctuations, it is difficult to crack. Its impact strength is 10 times that of Nylon 66, 20 times that of PVC, and 8 times that of PTFE. Its impact strength increases in low-temperature environments, providing excellent safety and reliability for conveying systems.
    4. Anti-Aging and Thermal Stability
      UHMW-PE maintains stable performance and has excellent anti-aging properties. It can be used both above and below ground without aging for up to 50 years. According to ASTM standards (load: 4.6 kg/cm²), its heat deformation temperature is 85°C, with operational temperatures up to 90°C. In special cases, it can withstand even higher temperatures. UHMW-PE also performs well in extremely low temperatures—maintaining flexibility at -269°C without becoming brittle. However, it has a high coefficient of thermal expansion and low thermal conductivity, which must be considered during product design.
    5. 電気的特性
      UHMW-PE has high volume resistivity, a breakdown voltage of 50kV/mm, and a dielectric constant of 2.3. It is suitable as a structural material in electrical engineering over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
    6. Non-Toxic and Hygienic
      UHMW-PE is odorless, non-toxic, and tasteless. It is chemically inert and biocompatible. Approved by the FDA and USDA, it is suitable for applications involving contact with food and pharmaceuticals.

    注記: One limitation of UHMW-PE is its relatively poor high-temperature resistance and the difficulty in processing.

    UHMW-PE can replace carbon steel, stainless steel, and bronze in a variety of industries, including textiles, paper making, food machinery, transportation, medical, mining, and chemical processing.

    • Textile Industry: Used for shuttle rods, picking sticks, gears, connectors, flower-cleaning rods, buffers, eccentric blocks, shaft bushings, and swinging components that require high impact and wear resistance.
    • Paper Industry: Used in box covers, dewatering plates, compression parts, couplings, sealing shafts in drive systems, deflection pulleys, scrapers, and filters.
    • Transportation Industry: Used as linings for hoppers, silos, and chutes that handle powdered materials.
