Anaerobic Tank PP Three-Phase Separator — Keep Gas, Water & Sludge Where They Belong

    2025-11-11

    share:

In anaerobic reactors (UASB/EGSB/IC), the three-phase separator is the “quiet zone” at the top that splits gas–liquid–solid cleanly so the plant runs stable:

    • Gas is collected without disturbing the upflow.
    • Effluent clarifies before it exits.
    • Sludge/Granules are retained in the reactor instead of washing out.

We build this assembly in PP/PPH with factory-made modules that bolt and weld together inside your tank. It’s light, corrosion-resistant, and fast to install.

What you get from our PP three-phase separator

    1) Stable sludge retention
Granular sludge is the engine of your anaerobic line. Our baffles and settling zone keep it in the reactor so you maintain high biomass and steady removal rates.

    2) Clean gas take-off
An integrated gas hood/dome captures biogas and prevents turbulence in the settling zone. Less foam, fewer short-circuits, smoother downstream handling.

    3) Clearer effluent
A calm clarification zone with launders/edge weirs sends cleaner water to the next step, reducing load on post-treatment.

    4) Easy to build, easy to service
PP panels are CNC-cut and labeled. Modules pass through standard manways and assemble inside. Inspection ports and removable hatches make routine checks simple.

    5) Built for harsh water
PP/PPH resists acids/alkalis and humid H₂S/CO₂ atmospheres typical of anaerobic gas spaces. Optional UV-stabilized grades for outdoor tanks.

    Construction & options (typical)

    • Material: PP or PPH sheets & profiles (food-contact/UV-stabilized options on request)
    • Module set: gas hood/dome, primary baffles, settling zone (flat or with lamella packs as required), launders/effluent channel, scum baffle
    • Thickness: sized per span and load; ribs and gussets added where needed
    • Joints: hot-air/extrusion welded PP; stainless hardware where bolted
    • Interfaces: flanged nozzles for gas outlet, sampling ports, spray/foam control nozzles if specified
    • Access: inspection covers, lifting lugs, internal walk-in clearance planned with you at design stage

We deliver a complete kit: cut parts, formed pieces, brackets, fasteners, and a drawing pack that maps every module to its location in your tank.

Fit to your reactor, not the other way round

Every plant is different. We engineer the separator to your tank diameter/height, influent load, expected biogas rate, and upflow regime:

    • UASB: wide separators with generous settling area and straightforward launders
    • EGSB/IC: taller gas capture and reinforced baffles for higher upflow velocities
    • Retrofits: modular segments sized to pass existing manholes; tie-in to your current nozzles and platforms

Installation timeline (on a typical retrofit)

    1. Pre-fab at our factory: cutting, forming, weld pre-assembly, trial fit → packed with location tags
    2. On-site: set supports, lift in modules, tack and weld seams, bolt interfaces
    3. Tie-ins: gas header, launders, instruments, optional foam control spray
    4. Checks: leak/continuity checks on launders and gas hood, visual weld inspection
    5. Start-up: gradual ramp-up with scum watch; we remain available for tuning tips

Because PP is light, most work is done with small hoists and basic welding tools—no heavy steelwork.

    Quality & documentation

    • Material certificates for PP/PPH sheets & rods
    • Weld procedure outline + welder qualification record (if required)
    • Dimensional check sheet and visual inspection log
    • Packing list that mirrors the location tags on each module
    • Optional pressure/leak check records for launders and gas spaces

What to send for a fast, firm quote

Please share the following. The clearer the data, the quicker we can machine:

    • Tank details: diameter/shape, straight-side height, manway size/position
    • Process: reactor type (UASB/EGSB/IC), design flow, influent characteristics (COD range, TSS), typical operating temperature
    • Biogas: expected gas rate & outlet nozzle spec
    • Connections: required flange standards for gas/effluent, any existing nozzles to reuse
    • Options: lamella packs? foam control spray? access/inspection preferences
    • Delivery: site address/incoterms, off-loading limitations, target installation window

We’ll return a layout drawing, bill of materials, lead time, and shipping plan.

    FAQs buyers ask us

Q: Why PP/PPH instead of stainless?
PP/PPH resists many anaerobic gas-space conditions, weighs far less (easier install), and avoids corrosion inside humid, acidic atmospheres—often at a lower total cost.

Q: Can you work with my existing tank nozzles and platforms?
Yes. We adjust module spans, launder heights, and gas hood geometry to match your nozzles and access points.

Q: How do you handle foam and scum?
We include scum baffles and can add spray nozzles or skimming features if you request them in the RFQ.

    Q: Lead time?
Standard PP/PPH is usually in stock. After drawings are approved, we cut, pre-fit, and pack modules. Lead time depends on size and options; we’ll commit to a schedule in the quote.

Q: Can you ship as a ready kit for local assembly?
Yes. Everything is labeled. Your team or our partner installer can assemble using the drawing pack.
